I am YouLife spoke to the void.I am You by Henly-Hill
"Why do so many hate me? Yet they cling so tightly to my cloak."
Death spoke to the void.
"I am accursed and feared by so many. Yet they all come to me in the end."
Joy spoke to the void.
"I am pursued by all. Yet they find me so elusive."
Hope asked the void:
"Why am I both held so tightly and thrown so easily away?"
War spoke to the void.
"I am what they hate. Yet they cannot live without me."
Peace spoke to the void.
"I am sought by all. Yet they have never found me"
Innocence asked the void:
"Why am I both the first they have and the first they lose?"
Strife asked the void:
"Why am I the one that they hate to love? Yet they still do so love me."
Intellect said to the void:
"I lead them further toward salvation. Yet I also lead them toward destruction."
Madness asked the void:
"Why are those blessed by me the only ones to see the truth?"
Sanity asked the void:
"Why am I both the lense to see and the fog obscuring?"
Sleep said the the void:

It That BetraysEver present the shadow whispers. It That Betrays by Henly-Hill
Inside the mind is causes blisters.
Softly falls the light of day.
But It is not out here to play.
Profane the things It says at night.
Yet worse so still It says in light.
Constant seething maddening words.
Engulfed the brain like blackened herbs.
It has a name that I dare not speak.
But know That It keeps my life so bleak.
It stops the heart then makes It go.
As I toss about in unevened flow.
Stab the heart with all the pain.
Don't worry now It'll be back again.
A hidden place inside It dwells.
That Betrays the one It knows so well.
I try and cast this thing away.
But I cannot keep It back; at bay.
Wise the words that echo scorn.
It feels that I should not be born.
Breathe within and breathe without.
Either is just one fell clout.
Name It once and there will be flame.
But once again and It will bring you shame.
It watches with the lidless eye.
To see you weak; to see you cry.
It leaves the flesh not rent not torn.
But makes the mind feel so lowborn.
The BellsAsk not thee of the mournful ringing. The Bells by Henly-Hill
And bite thy tongue from sorrow singing.
The bells they toll through night and day.
Announcing what shall come to pass this way.
Rest and sit hear at my table.
For on the morrow you go if able.
You go to take a journey long and hard.
Remember you well to keep your guard.
The path is long and often narrow.
Hidden from your sight, a game of faro.
Upon your past and thoughts you must rely.
Or else from off the ledge you shall fly.
Now I leave you here to recuperate.
On the morrow you meet your fate.
Remember the words that Donne wrote down.
Or else the lost shall not be found.
"Ask not for whom the bells toll"
They toll for thee and for your soul.
The Tomb of Nephren-KaHe was the king of dune and sand,The Tomb of Nephren-Ka by AlmostWhitey
The ruler of the nile.
Clad in gold and jewels grand,
But in the fangs of powers vile.
Inside a raging sandstorm looms
A pyramid of blackest stone,
With labyrinthic, ancient rooms
And with a dismal colored throne.
The monument floats in the air,
Reversed and twisted, dark.
Non-euclidean this lair,
Below it glows an eldritch mark.
This is the tomb of Nephren-Ka,
Black Pharaoh of old.
The dark eclipse of Amun-Ra
And summoner of things untold.
His death mask is a cruel offense
To all the old traditions.
A crooked smile without a sense,
That seem to speak of mad ambitions.
Alhazred saw his grave and fled,
Egyptians call it cursed.
The Canon Alberic I've read
Had me in it's depths immersed.
Many secrets lie within,
The hieroglyphs are humming,
Like sacred cats or evil Jinn,
To tell of his majesty's coming.
Nephren-Ka, the highest priest
Of formless chaos crawling.
Pharaoh of the great beast
And of a haunter's vicious calling.

This group was founded for the purpose of sharing and collecting the best of the truly unique, strangely beautiful, and wonderfully weird (or just plain odd) art that DeviantArt has to offer. If you are fascinated with the unusual then this is the group for you. This is NOT your classic art group.
We do NOT accept:
-- subjects with nudity (unless the important parts are covered). On rare occasion soft nudity is accepted if the work is truly exceptional,
-- excessively macabre work (surgery, spilled guts, etc) although a little blood is fine.
-- erotic or profane content. Anything requiring a mature tag will be automatically declined.
Only submit your own, completed, original artwork.
Fanart is accepted only if done in your own unique style.
Only high quality work following our guidelines will be accepted.
When applying for membership, keep in mind that we only accept Deviant's with a substantial collection of work and an overall eldritch style. Everyone is welcome to Watch the group. During contests anyone can participate but only members can vote.
